In 2019, a new Texas-style breakfast taco shop was opening in Nashville. We wanted to remix the standard Texas symbols in unexpected ways – an armadillo, the lone star, the yellow rose. The armadillo – aka the “tacodillo” was an unlikely icon choice, but it created a memorable, IYKYK, weird mascot for this now beloved community spot. Using a variety of logos, icons, and illustration styles kept the brand feeling fresh and playful. The color palette unified each element creating a through line within the brand.
